Team Keller is led by committed Salisbury parents - Corey and Jenna Hoch - who work hard to raise money to find effective treatments for Cystic Fibrosis through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and other channels.
Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and, over time, limits the ability to breathe.
More than 30,000 people in the United States are living with Cystic Fibrosis and approximately 1,000 new cases are diagnosed every year.
Research, such as that funded by Team Keller, has dramatically expanded the life expectancy of children with Cystic Fibrosis. As recently as 1980, the median life-span of those with Cystic Fibrosis was less than 20 years. Now it is over 37 years.
